Although I always prefer working with natural fibers, the acrylic/nylon mix used for the body of the sweater is super soft, made even softer with a gentle wash. The neckline is crocheted with a wool blend fiber that is pre-shrunk and as soft as the rest of the sweater.
While this yarn is machine washable, I always recommend hand washing crochet pieces and laying them on a flat surface to dry. Yarn can stretch and shrink quite a bit, so always wash your handmade clothing in cold water and allow it to fully air dry before hanging it up or wearing it again.
